CARE HOMES
Nursing, residential & care homes
Having live music for care homes is a brilliant activity not only for the residence but also for their visiting families too.
It can create a calming effect for some and bring out the best in others when they join in singing.
Music is known to be an amazing tool in bringing joy and memories to those who may have forgotten about particular songs.
I cover a wide range of songs from 1920's musicals to 1980's classic hits which are always a crowd pleaser for care homes.
IT'S NOT JUST
ONE BIG HARP
Not only do I own a pedal harp, but I also have 3 smaller lap harps that I normally teach on. They are the perfect size to be passed around the residents if they would like to have a strum on the strings.
If you would like me to bring along my lap harps for the residents then that can be arranged.
It's not everyday that they get the opportunity to play a harp and it makes wonderful photos and video memories for the families, especially when they can get involved as well.
These smaller harps can be available for after I have finished my performance.
I can also go to the rooms of those residents who may be bed bound and who may not be able to be moved to the activity room. Normally, I just perform one or two pieces on my smaller harps (if requested). But I am happy to perform what works best for your residents.
